My First Craft Show

Well it was a lot smaller than I was hoping for but for the first one out of the gate I think it went well. I nearly sold out of my little girl hair clippies. And was able to chat with a fellow crafter about other shows.

And a Big THANK YOU to Terra Secrets Bath & Body Shop and Soft Shell Body Shop for donating items for a giveaway. It brought many people to my table (sometimes the only reason) and many entered. Be sure to check out both shops, their items were amazing.

Halloween Week

Whew, last week was crazy. With all of the projects I am working on I had put off my Halloween costume making until days before. Last year I spent two months crafting a wig out of ribbon so I opted for something simple this year and focused on decorating my office space.
Also last week I was asked to help make costumes for the churches drive-thru nativity this year. So with all that going on I put off finishing items for the craft fair this weekend and will have to finish them tonight and Thursday. Oh how I need more hours in the day!

The First Christian Church of Bellefontaine, Ohio is having a CWF Fall Bazaar November 6-7.

Friday: Luncheon, bake sale and craft fair. Hours will be from 10am-2pm. The luncheon will feature carry-outs again. And, I'm sure the food will be as good as ever.

Saturday, November 7th, will be the craft fair day from 9am-3pm. We will have booth space for rent to area crafters and artists. If you know anyone who would be interested in renting a booth, please let me know and I will send you to the place to sign up. The fee this year will be $15 for one day or $20 for both days of the event. There is still plenty of space so hurry and sign up!

Sewing, Painting, Canning

This Saturday I sent the husband fishing and got to work on stocking, bags, hair clips and brooches. I finally got my machine back to normal! It just took a lot of tlc and adjusting. I hope to have photos up soon.

Sunday we decided to refurbish and old dresser. $30 later we now have an amazing piece that I don't want to hide in the closet. And while my husband painted away I canned a crate of pears, which leaves me with two more (until the my father-in-laws calls me up to come get more).

I love it when things get done on the weekends.

I Need Your Samples

I am still getting ready for my show in November and have been thinking of ways to have my booth stand out from the crowd. And what better way than have a give-away at my table. I am going to give-away one of my Shana Bags with matching cosmetics case and would love to fill it with fun handmade goodies. If you have any samples of soaps, lip balms or cosmetic stuff please comment or leave me a convo on Etsy. I will have a content card listing each item and where it came from and how to get it. I think this would be a great opportunity to promote. Who would love to win a bag full of goodies.

I Feel It In The Air

That brisk, cold air that says the days of warming up the car and spending ten minutes scraping the windows are around the corner. Oh, how I would love to have a garage. Last night I continued on my quest to have a full table at the craft show in November. I sat down and started sewing Christmas stockings, very slowly. I have found that if I sew at a crawl my machine likes me but if I start to speed up at all...crash, thread broke and knots all around. Tonight after work I am stopping and getting some canned air to see if I can blow out any problem and won't have to take it in for a tune-up. I think it knows that I am behind in my projects and is messing with me.
